Every now and then, a person comes into your life that you click with immediately. The couple of times this has happened to me, I've found it completely miraculous- a wonderful occurrence where there are no pretenses, no walls, no acting. The truth is, this has only happened to me a couple of times (and I can name them specifically). What this rare occurrence has left me with are friendships that have matured in rapid time. I have one best friend, specifically, who I truly feel I've known forever, but in actuality, we met for the first time only two short years ago (it's shocking to me!).

I was blessed a few months ago to make the acquaintance of the lovely Kamee June. I felt like I could relate to her almost instantly. In fact, I felt so comfortable with her that, after our first meet-up (and again after the second), I wondered if I'd said too much, informed her of things she didn't care about, made her think "too much information!". Much to my relief, she keeps calling me! Kam is a wonderful photographer who has this amazing presence with people (perhaps this is why I'm so comfortable with her?)-- she makes everyone she comes in contact with feel like her best friend. So when she called me up a couple of weeks ago and asked if I'd be willing to photograph her for an upcoming event, I was happy to oblige. Our "session" together was perfect- totally cool, relaxed, no pressure. We both had kids in strollers, we window-shopped and chatted and let the kids play, all the while snapping shots here and there. And can I just say: I LOVE TAKING PICTURES OF PEOPLE WHO ARE EXCITED ABOUT HAVING THEIR PICTURE TAKEN! Love it. Many photographers, myself included, are uncomfortable in front of the camera (and thus, we're always BEHIND the camera!). Kamee was easy and carefree and I feel like I was really able to capture how genuine and happy she is.

Here you go, friend! Your "sneak peek".  xo!

I totally get what you're saying! I love that you found that in her... and that last set is fantastic - love it! Did you have to chase her all over to get these? Oh wait, that's saved for the toddlers. ;)
