Remember how I said I had a goal to catch up on some past weddings and portrait sessions and finally get them blogged? Here I am, gettin' it done.

This wedding happened on a lovely Saturday in La Mirada last fall. I had a ball shooting with the lovely, and oh-so-creative Shannon Leith. The day emitted happiness, and I can only imagine that HK's and Judy's faces hurt by the end of the day (because that's what smiling for 8 hours straight will do)!

webLeith1.jpg The lovely couple chose to do a "first look", which I LOVE. I'm a big fan of a bride and groom seeing each other before the ceremony. I think it calms nerves, eliminates a lot of the jitters, and is so much more personal and intimate than seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day in front of hundreds of people. I love this series of three:::
webLeith2.jpgwebLeith_2962.jpgwebLeith4.jpgwebLeith5.jpgwebLeith6.jpg Their outdoor reception was one big party in the park. It was airy and cool and relaxed and people had so much fun! Because, really. How can you NOT have fun when there's a cotton candy machine and a May Pole involved?!
