Oh my good heavens.  We've been off of our schedule for ages!  So, for this week's list, I'm documenting where we've been and what we've been up to. Our adventures started on June 10th, and didn't stop until yesterday. We're tired! But we're grateful for the chance to get to visit both sides of the family, have two different sets of company, and just be together.

Here's what we've done:

1. Elias "graduated" from Kindergarten! (With flying colors, I might add.) And while I've always thought that Kinder graduation was relatively ridiculous, it's hard not to get totally into it when your 6-yr-old is beside himself with excitement. webEliasgrad_3496.jpgwebEliasgrad_3525.jpg 2. The very day that Elias finished school, we started off on another journey to my home in New Mexico, stopping at the Grand Canyon. It snowed! It snowed at the Grand Canyon in June. Needless to say, I was in HEAVEN. webSeries06.jpg 3. We played with cousins! (Rowan and Owyn. Cute, right??) webSeries11.jpg 4. We spent a few days at the family cabin outside of Durango, CO and enjoyed roasting marshmallows, playing horseshoes, lounging, and playing at "big rock". webTuckers2010_3705.jpg 5. We threw rocks in the lake. webSeries07.jpgwebSeries08.jpgwebTuckers2010_3595.jpg 6. We rented a barge....... webTuckers2010_3605.jpgwebTuckers2010_3609.jpg (I'm posting this and risking all dignity while doing so.... I have so very few images of myself with my children, that I figured it was worth it to post ...) webTuckers2010_3616.jpg 7. We found a fishing pole floating in the lake, complete with a lure, so we fished. And came up empty, but the children taught us that the fun part was the trolling, casting and reeling in. webTuckers2010_3639.jpg webTuckers2010_3654.jpg webTuckers2010_3676.jpg 8. We searched for, hiked to, and found a wonderful lost arch outside of Aztec, NM. My Mom stayed below with Maura, but she's anxious to go back and hike it as well. Thank you to my Dad for the photos. webTuckers2010_3724.jpg webSeries09.jpg
9. At the begining of July, we flew (REDEYE WITH THREE KIDS, THANK YOU JT) to Ohio to see his parents, attend an impromptu 15-yr high school reunion, and enjoy the 4th in the heartland- there is NO PLACE that celebrates the 4th like Granville, OH does. Well, no place that I've ever been, anyway. We took part in lots of 4th of July activities, including sweating through a really fun, and very long parade. The kids had more candy than they got last year on Halloween. Thank you to my Mother-in-law, Ann, for throwing it all away after we left! webSeries03.jpgwebSeries05.jpgwebSeries04.jpg (did you know that each year in the Granville OH parade, there is a PORK PRINCESS?! And a Rabbit Queen and a Lamb Queen? .... There are.) webOhio_6123.jpg 10. We visited with old friends. :) webOhio_6141.jpg 11. We caught fireflies... a novelty to those of us on the west coast. Why is it that the idea of touching a cockroach or grasshopper makes me want to curl up and die, but it's cool to mess around with bugs whose butts glow?? webSeries01.jpg webSeries02.jpg 12.This past weekend, my sweet friend Jen came to visit (see post below) with her children, and while they were here, Elias lost his first tooth. 'Bout time! It's been loose for like 5 months. Seriously. He's ecstatic, and "the toothfairy" (aka my Dad) gave him a silver dollar from 1921. Great. What am I supposed to do for the next one?! webSeries12.jpg 13. And then, somewhere in the middle of all of this craziness, little Miss Maura turned 7 months old. She is such a gem, and I seriously can't get enough of her! webMaura7mo_5516.jpgwebMaura7mo_5502.jpgwebSeries10.jpg

Happily, all is calm and we are home for a while now. *SIGH* I don't want to go anywhere else for a while!
