"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird, I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns." -George Eliot

In my whole life, I've never found a quote that I feel I should have written more than this one.  It is exactly how I feel.  Autumn is by far my favorite season of the year, and I am currently mourning the loss of my third autumn in a row. I'm not going to lie- it's extremely hard for me to live in Southern California in the fall. I constantly have to keep myself away from the ever-looming funk that I could easily fall into if I dwell on the fact that it's 82 degrees 3 days before Halloween.

To celebrate fall, even though we're not really feeling it here, I've started lighting my yummy holiday-smelling candles, putting up autumn decor, making banana/cranberry bread by the loaves. I also dressed my darlings up in their "fall clothes" two nights ago and took their pictures.
Cute little bugs.... I've been very blessed to have children who don't mind their Mom taking lots of pictures of them.

I shall start with one favorite and end with another::

Best quote EVER! I have to say that my perspective of living in AZ before CA means that I think SoCal Autumns are great! But I can see how you were spoiled with the real deal growing up and this just isn't cutting it.

The final shot is TO DIE FOR! And the ones where R is laughing, I can almost hear her. :) E is going to be a heart-breaker for sure--too cute for his own good!

I LOVE these! SO SO CUTE! Makes me sad to see my little Maura growing up. She has a different "look" than when I saw her. And I love the first one too- Row's little hand on her mouth is so sweet. What gorgeous children. I miss them so much.

Rach-I am BLOWN away by the cuteness of these pictures. You are so blessed, but I am pretty sure you are well aware of that. I looked at them more than a couple times. Fantastic job, doesnt even describe it enough. Love these.
