Beloved is a new genre of photography that I am embracing wholeheartedly. The Beloved philosophy centers on discovering and inviting the love and emotions that exist between people. It is something I've long tried to establish in my photography, and now that it has a name, I feel that I can implement it even more in my sessions and weddings. Beloved sessions are meant to unite people, to allow them to truly be themselves, to encourage them in their relationships. Some Beloved sessions are more serious, most Beloved sessions are lighthearted and fun.

I've spent hours in seminars and webinars learning more about how to implement the Beloved revolution into my work. I mean for Beloved sessions to be so much more than a "photo session", they are meant to be an experience.

I photographed Ryan and Tennille's wedding almost two years ago on the Oregon Coast. It's always wonderful to spend time with couples months or years later. I loved this Beloved session we did when I was in New Mexico a few weeks ago - a true look at their friendship and love.
