Now that school has started, we're back into a routine. Now that it's "fall" (whatever that means), I'm starting to see the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel, at least in terms of my business. I've been busy this summer, and though it was all good (I love the people I've been able to meet and photograph over the past few months!), I'm so excited to start see the weather start to cool (maybe?! PLEASE maybe?!), fall scents and decor emerge, and the holidays approach. I worked myself into the ground last year through the holidays, and I vowed not to do it again. I won't be taking any sessions this year after November 1st. I'm determined to finish that advent calendar that's been sitting in my sewing closet for 3 years, I'm determined to make wassail, I'm determined to sit back and enjoy my loved ones this year, rather than run around all crazy-like trying to complete orders and do last-minute sessions for people.

I'm also determined to do a little more blogging, for me. I've sincerely missed blogging about my own life, and my children. I've not stopped photographing them (on the contrary, I've even pulled out my little point-and-shoot a number of times lately!), but I have stopped blogging about them, simply due to lack of time. And that makes me sad. Because I like to write, and I like to put pictures up, even if the only people who care about my personal posts are my far-away family and friends. I've also got a few personal projects I'll be working on this fall and winter- projects I'm giddy with excitement over- projects that will certainly fill my cup back up. Sometimes it's so nice just to shoot for yourself (myself).

For now, one picture. The girl who is quickly learning from her 4-year-old sister how important high heels are. And now I'm off. Because I hear crying, and it's time to start dinner... or at least figure out what my kids will eat tonight. (PS. it's hard to be motivated to make ANYTHING to eat when it's 105 degrees outside. It's a wonder we didn't all lost 20 pounds this summer!)
